Refund Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
Welcome to HPLC Practical Guide.
This Refund Policy explains how refund, cancellation, and remedy requests are handled for digital products purchased through:
https://hplcpracticalguide.com
HPLC Practical Guide is operated by Mohammad Abu Alrub in the United Arab Emirates.
By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have reviewed this Refund Policy, the applicable product description, and our Terms of Purchase.
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, limits, or replaces any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws applicable to your purchase.
1. Nature of Our Digital Products
HPLC Practical Guide sells digital educational products, including:
- PDF guides
- Downloadable learning materials
- Digital product bundles
- HPLC educational and training resources
Products are normally supplied electronically and may be made available for access or download immediately after successful payment.
No physical product will be shipped unless expressly stated on the applicable product page.
Because digital files cannot practically be returned after they have been accessed, copied, or downloaded, purchases are generally final after delivery, except where:
- This Refund Policy expressly provides otherwise; or
- Applicable law gives the purchaser a mandatory cancellation, refund, repair, replacement, price-reduction, or other remedy.
2. General Refund Approach
We generally do not provide refunds solely because:
- A purchaser changes their mind
- The product is no longer needed
- The purchaser did not review the product description
- The purchaser expected a different personal, educational, employment, or professional result
- The purchaser lacks compatible software, equipment, internet access, or sufficient technical knowledge to use a standard PDF file
- The purchaser prefers another format that was not advertised
- The purchaser decides after access that the material is not personally suitable
However, we will review legitimate requests involving delivery errors, duplicate payments, serious technical problems, defective files, or products that materially differ from their published description.
Any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.
3. Immediate Digital Delivery and Cancellation Rights
Digital products are normally supplied immediately after payment.
Where applicable law provides a cancellation or withdrawal period for digital content, you may be asked during checkout to:
- Expressly request that supply of the digital product begins immediately; and
- Acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel may be lost once access or downloading begins.
Where you have provided the required consent and acknowledgement, your right to cancel because of a simple change of mind may end once the supply of the digital content begins, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If the required consent or acknowledgement was not properly obtained, any cancellation rights available under applicable law will continue to apply.
Loss of a change-of-mind cancellation right does not remove mandatory rights relating to digital content that is:
- Defective
- Corrupted
- Inaccessible
- Materially incomplete
- Not as described
- Supplied incorrectly
- Otherwise non-conforming under applicable law
4. Situations Where a Refund or Other Remedy May Be Available
A refund, replacement, correction, price reduction, or another appropriate remedy may be considered where:
- You purchased the same product more than once by mistake
- You were charged more than once for the same order
- You received the wrong product or file
- A required file is missing from the purchased package
- The file is corrupted or cannot be opened using commonly available compatible software
- The download link does not work and we cannot restore access
- A technical problem caused by us or our delivery process prevents access
- The delivered product materially differs from its published description
- A significant defect prevents the product from being used normally
- We do not have the legal right to supply the content
- Applicable consumer law requires a refund or other remedy
Where only part of a digital bundle is affected, the appropriate remedy may relate only to the affected part, unless the problem materially affects the value or usability of the entire bundle.
5. Resolving Technical and Delivery Problems
Before issuing a refund, we may reasonably attempt to resolve the issue by:
- Resending the download or access link
- Correcting your customer access
- Supplying a replacement copy
- Replacing a corrupted or incorrect file
- Providing reasonable download instructions
- Correcting a missing file
- Allowing a reasonable opportunity to download the product again
Where applicable law gives you the right to choose a particular remedy, or requires a refund without an attempted repair or replacement, your statutory rights will take priority.
A technical issue will not be considered resolved if the proposed solution cannot be completed within a reasonable time or causes significant inconvenience to the purchaser.
6. Duplicate Purchases and Duplicate Charges
If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, contact us as soon as possible.
After verifying the transactions, we will normally refund the unintended duplicate payment.
A duplicate purchase does not include purchasing:
- Different products
- Different editions
- Separate licenses
- A bundle after previously purchasing one component individually
unless the applicable product page expressly states otherwise or we agree to provide a discretionary adjustment.
7. Situations Where Refunds Are Generally Not Provided
Subject to mandatory consumer rights, refunds are generally not provided where:
- You changed your mind after immediate access or downloading began
- You no longer need or want the product
- You did not read the product description, format, included files, or intended-audience information
- You expected content or features that were not advertised
- You expected a particular job, interview, academic, laboratory, certification, or financial result
- Your device or software is incompatible despite the product being supplied in the advertised standard format
- You are unable to use the product because of a problem with your own device, email account, browser, internet connection, security settings, or storage
- You request a refund because the price was later reduced or a promotional offer was introduced
- You purchased an individual product and later decided that a bundle would have been more economical
- You have substantially used, copied, distributed, or benefited from the product and there is no defect or legal basis for a refund
These exclusions do not apply where the product is defective, materially inaccurate, inaccessible because of our systems, not as described, or where applicable law requires a remedy.
8. Unauthorized Use, Fraud, and Refund Abuse
We reserve the right to investigate and refuse requests that are fraudulent, abusive, or made in bad faith, to the extent permitted by law.
Examples may include:
- Providing false transaction information
- Repeatedly purchasing, downloading, and seeking refunds without a legitimate issue
- Filing a claim after unauthorized redistribution or resale
- Attempting to retain access after receiving a refund
- Using multiple identities or payment methods to circumvent purchase restrictions
- Making contradictory claims to us and the payment provider
Evidence of unauthorized sharing may be taken into account when assessing a discretionary refund.
However, allegations of misuse do not remove any mandatory remedy that applicable law gives a purchaser for genuinely defective or non-conforming digital content.
Unauthorized use may also result in:
- Revocation of access
- Refusal of future purchases
- Copyright enforcement
- Takedown requests
- Other remedies available under law
9. How to Submit a Request
To request a refund review or report a product problem, contact:
contact@hplcpracticalguide.com
Please include:
- Your full name
- The email address used during checkout
- Your order number, if available
- The name of the product
- The purchase date
- A clear description of the problem
- Any relevant screenshots or error messages
We may request reasonable additional information to:
- Confirm the purchase
- Identify the technical problem
- Prevent fraud
- Determine the appropriate remedy
Providing complete and accurate information will help us resolve the request more quickly.
10. Review and Response Time
We aim to acknowledge and review properly submitted requests within 3–7 business days.
Complex technical, payment, or fraud-related matters may require additional investigation.
Where applicable law specifies a shorter response, remedy, or refund deadline, the legally required deadline will apply.
A request is not automatically approved merely because it has been submitted. The outcome will depend on:
- The circumstances of the purchase
- Whether access was provided
- The nature and seriousness of the issue
- Whether the issue can be reasonably corrected
- The product description
- Transaction and download records
- Applicable consumer law
11. Approved Refunds
If a refund is approved:
- It will normally be issued through the original payment provider
- It will normally be returned to the original payment method
- No refund-processing fee will be charged by HPLC Practical Guide
- Access to the refunded product may be revoked
- The purchaser must stop using and distributing the refunded content
- The personal-use license for the refunded product will terminate
Where applicable law permits and the purchaser expressly agrees, another refund method may be used.
The payment provider, card issuer, bank, or financial institution may require additional time to display the refund after it has been issued.
We are not responsible for delays caused solely by the purchaser’s bank or payment provider, but we will provide reasonable confirmation of the refund when available.
12. Currency Differences and Payment-Provider Charges
Refunds are normally issued in the original transaction currency and for the amount approved for refund.
The final amount displayed in your local currency may differ from the original local-currency amount because of:
- Currency exchange-rate changes
- Bank conversion rates
- International transaction charges
- Card-provider policies
Such differences are controlled by the relevant bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
Nothing in this section allows us to deduct an amount where applicable law requires a full refund.
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage purchasers to contact us first so that we have a reasonable opportunity to resolve legitimate delivery, access, or product issues.
This does not prevent a purchaser from exercising any lawful right to contact their bank, payment provider, card issuer, or consumer-protection authority.
Submitting false or misleading information in a payment dispute may result in suspension of access and the submission of relevant transaction, download, consent, and communication records to the payment provider.
14. Educational Products and Results
HPLC Practical Guide products are educational resources intended to support:
- HPLC learning
- Practical understanding
- Troubleshooting awareness
- Laboratory readiness
- Career and interview preparation
We do not guarantee:
- Employment
- Promotion
- Interview success
- Academic success
- Certification
- Laboratory authorization
- Regulatory acceptance
- A particular chromatographic result
- Any specific professional or financial outcome
The absence of a desired personal or professional result does not by itself make the product defective or create a right to a refund.
This section does not affect rights relating to inaccurate, defective, unsafe, or materially misdescribed content.
15. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Consumer-protection laws differ between countries and regions.
Depending on your location, you may have mandatory rights relating to:
- Cancellation or withdrawal
- Conformity with the product description
- Acceptable quality
- Fitness for an expressly stated purpose
- Repair or replacement
- Price reduction
- Full or partial refund
- Redress for defective or inaccessible digital content
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Where a provision of this Refund Policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer-protection rule applicable to your purchase, the mandatory rule will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
16. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy when our products, platforms, payment methods, business practices, or legal obligations change.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
The version in effect when a purchase was completed will generally apply to that purchase, subject to mandatory law.
Changes will not retroactively remove any right already acquired under a completed purchase where doing so would be unlawful.
